Success Stories

Scholarships Awarded

PEAK thanks the many people and organizations that have donated to our cause and fueled our many PEAK success stories. Your donations have made a difference: since we began in 2010, more than 1,000 students have been enrolled in various activities, including the following:

  • Art
  • Basketball
  • Cub Scouts
  • Dance
  • Futsal
  • Guitar
  • Gymnastics
  • Karate
  • Piano
  • Soccer
  • Swimming
  • Volleyball

It doesn’t take a lot of money to make a big difference: it costs less than $100 to  register a child for soccer or swimming lessons. If you’re interested in making a tax-deductible donation to PEAK, make your check out to PACHECO PTA/PEAK and mail it to:

Peaks for PEAK Mountain Air fundraiser SLO 2023Thank you to Lindsey and Josh Haring, owners of San Luis Obispo’s  The Mountain Air, for hosting a 3rd annual  “Peaks for PEAK” in March 2023, which raised $19,720 for PEAK! The Mountain Air donated $20 for each person who hiked and submitted a record of it. Two matching donors, The Sandlot Group and the Thorshov family, each provided $6,000 in matching funds, and Central Coast Pediatrics donated $1,000 dollars.

A shout out to Old SLO BBQ for helping raise money to fund extracurricular activities for PEAK. For information about this generous business, visit the Old SLO BBQ Co.

PEAK would like to thank New Times SLO and Kasey Bubnash, who published and wrote about the 2021 Mountain Air fundraiser: “Peaks for PEAK Fundraiser: Hikes you would take anyway can fund extracurricular activities for kids.”

Thank you to Demitria Castanon and SLO Life Magazine for the  article featuring PEAK in the December 2011 issue.
