This is just a quick note of thanks to those of you who donated new/used equipment or money last Thursday for our Pacheco PEAK* Scholars. If you still have something to contribute, feel free to drop it off at my house any day, any (reasonable) time: 752 Meinecke Avenue, SLO. We have a small courtyard in front, so if no one is home, you can simply leave your items there. We’re trying to outfit 15 soccer players for this fall’s AYSO season, so cleats, shin guards, or soccer balls would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have a Cub Scouts uniform for an 8-year-old boy or a Girl Scouts uniform that would fit a 10-year-old girl, we have a couple students who would love to wear them. Best wishes for a great summer, Susan —————————————— Susan Westwood *What Is PEAK? *PEAK (Promoting Extracurricular Activities for Kids) aims to enable all Pacheco Elementary students to participate in extracurricular activities. PEAK is a volunteer organization, and all of its proceeds are used to pay for activity tuition, equipment/supplies, and operating expenses. PEAK operates under the Pacheco PTA, so all donations are tax deductible. PEAK scholarships are designed to help Pacheco families in need—financial or otherwise. In an effort to serve the greatest number of students, PEAK scholarships may not exceed $150 per student, per year. For complete information about PEAK, visit www.peakslo.org. If you prefer not to receive future emails, please let me know so I can remove your name and address. |
