These scholarships give local children the opportunity to participate alongside their peers in extracurricular activities of their choice: art classes, martial arts, music lessons, individual or team sports, and more. PEAK Receives Employee Donation from American Riviera Bank •
Funds to Serve Disadvantaged Students in San Luis Obispo •
In November, PEAK was honored to have been selected by American Riviera Bank employees to receive a $1,000 donation from their Employee Directed Donations Fund for our work in youth programming. Every dollar of this donation will go toward extracurricular activities for underserved students in the San Luis Obispo community.

PEAK Assists AYSO EPIC Program •
Helping Every Child Experience the Joy of Team Sports •
AYSO’s EPIC (Everyone Plays in Our Community) program offers opportunities for youth with intellectual or physical challenges to play and enjoy soccer in a supportive team environment. Our local EPIC program, established in 2019, provides opportunities for children who previously had limited access to organized youth sports.
According to Jamie Pereira, SLO EPIC coach, because PEAK helps families with program fees and equipment, we are removing barriers so that every child, regardless of ability or resources, can experience the joy and connection of being part of a team. Our SLO EPIC athletes also now play on adaptive baseball and basketball teams.
“Our EPIC program has grown every year,” Pereira added, “and a huge part of that growth is thanks to the direct impact PEAK provides to our community.”
